Do you have any forgotten gun favorites that you’re planning to add back to your lineup?

The “forgotten favorite” I’m eager to bring back is my good old K-frame .38. I sold mine a long time ago when I was caught up in the polymer craze and I’ve regretted it ever since. There’s just something about that smooth double-action pull and a revolver that feels like it’s not even there.

I had a Remington 700 in 25/06 once upon a time. Sold it when I went through a divorce. I'd like to have another. That thing was pure death on coyotes and other small critters. With Ballistic Tips it would make a groundhog explode like nothing I've ever seen...

I didn’t originally own the gun. Back in the 70’s We were at a private camp up in the Minnesota north woods and were out in the woods shooting I was admiring a revolver that one guy was shooting. My boyfriend told him, Let her shoot it so I did. I loved it. Fast forward to about 2010, i was thinking back to that, I was sure it was a S&W and bigger than my model 19. Did some research, I was sure it wasn’t a 44mag. I bought a S&W model 57, 41mag, 6in. First time I shot it was like I found an old friend.

I have been thinking about getting one for several years now but due to health issues and uncertainty I didn't look for one. I am now in remission and getting back into the groove. I know I want a 41, but not sure which model. I need to check out the 2 or r ranges within a 90 mile drive and see if any of them have one I can try out. I am definitely not going to spend that kind of money without knowing for sure which one I was want. Did you try out more than one model or other mfg. Any information you can pass along would be appreciated and congratulations on getting one.

Sadly it isn't likely you will find many/any to try. I'll do a run down on what is available and the differences.
S&W Model 57, double action, adjustable rear sights, varies barrel lengths, mostly 4 and 6 in
S&W Model 58 same as 57 except fixed rear sights.
Ruger Blackhawk, single action, adjustable rear sights, various barrel length.
Ruger Redhawk, same as Blackhawk except double action.
Taurus made a variety of 41 mag but they are now selling for rediculous prices.
Prices: The S&W $750 and up
Ruger $450 and up Used prices.
If I were buying my first 41mag I would buy a used Blackhawk.

Thank you for the info. I did look on Gun Broker to try and get some ideas of current prices. Older 58's- $1000 and up, Rugers -- $600- 1000 and 1 or 2 Taurus at $ 500 or 600. Again, thank you and enjoy your new revolver.
