There's nothing quite like when a tough fishing trip takes a surprise turn for the better. It really makes you appreciate all that hard work and reminds you why we keep heading back out there. I've had days when I was ready to throw in the towel, feeling like nothing was going to bite, and then out of nowhere, the fish start biting like crazy, almost like someone flipped a switch. That moment when your rod bends, and you just *know* you’ve got a keeper? Oh man, that thrill never gets old.

Then I went back yesterday and got skunked but did see a fella next to me net and release a 24"er.

No one else fishing? So Friday was the shit. A 24" a 20" 2x19" and a 16. My first limit this year. Using good sized creek chubs on jig and no tail. Hitting best 1-2 in afternoon
