I grew up on a farm, where handling a firearm was just part of everyday life. Whether it was taking out raccoons raiding the barn or simple target practice with cans behind the shed, shooting was second nature to me. These days, I find myself drawn to deer hunting and, of course, thinking about home defense. I usually carry a Glock 19 with me, but I’ve always had a soft spot for those classic old revolvers They just have a certain charm.

I just bought a couple Blackhawks. My first centerfire single actions. Now I see what everyone likes about them.

But I also just discovered bowling pin shooting and its a gas!

Growing up on a farm really changes how you view firearms. They’re not just toys or hobbies, they’re practical tools that you rely on. And that’s a pretty solid foundation to start from. Around here, deer hunting and keeping your home safe are big deals, so you'll catch a lot of talks and wisdom from folks who have been at it for years. Don't hesitate to dive into any conversations that catch your eye, and share your own stories too! It’s always refreshing to hear from people who’ve spent a lifetime around guns.
