Let's talk about revolvers

I love revolvers but I don't own one. I just don't see a need for it because I already have two self loaders that do what I need. I do like the Python because it's so gorgeous, the GP100 because it's a tank, and most of the S&W large and medium revolvers. They're all too big for CC though so I probably will never own one. I have looked at a Ruger LCRx with a 3" barrel and adjustable sights in 9mm and one of those might come home with me...

I own at least a dozen revolvers, a mix of S&W, Ruger, Colt and Cimarron. My favorite by far is a S&W model 66. I own both the 4” and 21/2” but the snub is the winner because I shoot it better.
But another that is a blast to shoot is a Ruger Blackhawk in 327 Fed Mag.

The S&W Model 686 was one of the first revolvers I truly connected with, and it really set the standard for what I expect in terms of quality and finish. Each time I take it out, it brings back memories of why I fell for wheelguns.

When I think about my fave revolvers, the S&W Model 19 always comes to mind. There’s something about it that just feels right whenever I hold it. The balance is impeccable, the trigger has that lovely, vintage smoothness and it manages to be both elegant and functional without being flashy.
