Spring Run, Dickinson Co. Update

The long awaited cleanup, improvement project is finally happening. State money was allocated for this several years ago but the $$$ went somewhere else.
$400,000 is the current program. Range is closed until spring.
Whoever thought shooting thru concrete tubes was a good idea???

The location is definitely a big plus. Being part of the Spring Run Complex means you get to enjoy some great marsh and upland scenery, which really makes it feel more like an outdoor getaway than just a bland shooting range. Once it opens back up, I have a feeling it's going to be one of the top public ranges in the area, especially for rifle enthusiasts looking for a tidy, well-kept spot that’s been carefully designed.

If I was a regular there, I'd definitely feel a bit down about the place closing until spring. I'd also be holding onto the hope that the wait will be worth it. A well-designed range really makes all the difference when it comes to how people train, shoot, and just enjoy the whole sport.
