What would be Iowa's firearm?

The other night as I was sorting through my safe, I came to appreciate Iowa's gun culture. If we had to choose one firearm as the state’s “official” choice, which one would truly reflect our community of deer hunters, small-game fans, and range enthusiasts? Just curious

Actually there are probably more Marlin Model 60 hanging around especially in the older folks bunch.

That's a tough one. I have 1 870, 3 10/22s and 2 model 60s. All are dependable, accurate and can take some rough treatment and still maintain good performance. My first 22 rifle was a Glenfield 60 so I will go with that one. Those little rifles are tack drivers and aren't finicky with any ammo I feed them.

I agree that there are a lot of 60s around. I love that tube magazine.
