Interesting new Rough Rider

I haven't kept up on the new guns for sale, so when I saw the Heritage Rough Rider TC, it immediately caught my eye. A single action .22 revolver with a rail on top? What in the world is that? Then I thought for a second, and realized that a .22 revolver with a reflex sight is not a bad idea at all, even if it looks goofy as hell.

For about $200, I may have to have one of these...

Tactical cowboy wasn’t on my bingo card, but honestly, a red dot on a .22 revolver sounds ridiculously fun.

The cherry on top is that it's threaded for a can. Small noise, big fun!

My buddy really liked my New Single Six so I got him one. To my surprise, the next time we went shooting he had a reflex on it. They're accurate to begin with but, WOW. You can bet I'm putting one on one of mine.

The rail on a single-action 22 looks kind of goofy, but it makes sense. A red dot on a plinker actually helps when training new shooters, cheap and with modern optics.

That reminds me, I have a Rough Rider. I don't think I've shot it since I got my Black Hawk in 30 Carbine.

But just to stir the pot a little I have to say that rail on an old gun looks like a wig on a pig. Or worse a wig on me!
