I bet if you reload with a slower powder you could do better than the extra 250? I am old fashioned that 16" barrel looks too short for the gun to me. I would rather have a 20. But all in all a pretty sweet rifle to go with a 10mm handgun to share ammo in a pinch. $1500 msrp kind of spoils the fun.
If it's using a tubular mag, you'll want to stick with flat or round nose bullets. If Hornady’s load is an FTX-style hunting option, it should work great with a rifle barrel.
Really curious how it competes against classic lever calibers such as the .357 and .44 Mag. I think a 10mm rifle could really carve out a nice niche for hunting deer-sized game and also work well as a handy truck gun.
