Has anyone tried using RIT dye on their plastic Glock sights? I'm curious if the white parts will soak up the color while the black ones won't budge. What do y'all think?

I haven't tried using RIT dye on Glock sights myself, but I have friends who have tried it on other plastics. Their results were a bit all over the place. The white parts might soak it up, depending on what the material is, but I wouldn’t expect much to change with the black polymer. Just a heads up to keep an eye on the heat and soak time. Too much of either can warp or weaken the sight, and you definitely don’t want that. If you’re aiming for a fun pop of color, you could also think about using some model paint or even nail polish

If you’re looking to switch up the color, you might want to consider paint pens or even some aftermarket sights that come with colored inserts.

If you’re looking to color just the white dots, I’d say go for a targeted method. A cotton swab dipped in hot dye solution can work wonders if you dab it on carefully. This way, you can keep the surrounding black from getting tinted. I’ve seen people use RIT dye for mag bases and even frames, but it usually takes some trial and error because of the different plastic blends.
