So I recently "inherited" this from my Pops when he finally moved to town.
It's a Mossberg Model 46 B-B. The thing drives tacks all day long, but after cataract surgery I can no longer use the rear sight and the front sights are missing pieces. The receiver is tapped on the side for a peep sight mount and Havlin sells a scope mount that uses those holes so mounting a scope isn't hard.
I'm looking for a vintage style scope for this rifle. No high power variable, no big objective lenses. A 3/4" tube 4x would be great, but there don't seem to be any good ones available. What's a decent quality low power scope that looks like it would belong on top of this old shooter? I'm thinking no larger than 32mm bell and 28mm would be better. Am I stuck looking for a used Redfield rimfire scope?
