What Gun Gear Did You Score Recently?

Picked up something new today and figured I’d start a thread for others to share too. Doesn’t have to be anything big — ammo, accessories, deals you found, trades you made — if it’s gun-related, post it up. What’d you find or buy recently?

Remington 700 Ultimate muzzleloader 50 cal. for a very good price, in the mail and will arrive shortly. Most likely, it will get converted to a smokeless muzzleloader of my dreams. I want to shoot some 1,000 yard matches with it but I have a long way to go before I do that. I know it may sound crazy but people are doing it now and with amazing accuracy.

We have a heavy rabbit population. Been eating Carolyn's flowers since spring. Haver eliminated several already but the small young ones keep coming. A rifle is not feasible in a side by side which is my main source of transportation so ordered a Rough Rider .22cal 6 shot revolver with 16" barrel today. Should be quick and easy to shot out of both sides with it. With CRP cover on 3 sides they have an abundance of cover but come to the buildings for their eats. Didn't bother with a garden this year.

Very few ground squirrels around any more. Thinking more along the line of the ground hog, skunk, etc. Would even take out a Bob Cat if one showed his face.
My experience with the HMR is that it's a bit light for anything much bigger than a cat. It will obviously kill groundhogs or raccoons, but it doesn't always kill them right then and there. That's why I prefer the 22 Mag. It just seems to hit a lot harder.

Have a 22 Mag also that haven't sighted in yet. To many irons in the fire and when that tornado tore things up some it takes a lot longer to get back to near normal that it did to tear it up by far. Still have a 16X32 complete roof with steel laying upside down the hope to get rolled over Tuesday morning. Can't do anything with it upside down.

I received my silencer a couple of days ago and tried it out on my 5.56 rifle yesterday. Am very happy!
I have been waiting for shipping info from Savage about by rifle return from their fix it shop and no info so today I left home for some important business and missed Fed X delivery of the rifle.:poop:

I recently bought this new Ruger American gen 2 Ranch 5.56 rifle and a gen 2 Vortex gen 2 Crossfire 2 Dead Hold 3X-9X scope. I also bought a new silencer for it. The rifle shoots great. I hated the attached comp on the barrel and had my gunsmith remove it. I then added the silencer. The Silencer Shop was great help getting me through to process of getting the silencer. My main reason for the silencer is to protect what hearing I have left and it works great. Wait time to own the silencer was only about 2 or 3 weeks.

Didn't actually score anything new, but while going through boxes that had been stored upstairs at my Dad's house before he moved, I found one full of miscellaneous gun stuff. Random ammunition, shell holders, reloading trays, spent brass, a broken Lee turret press, a digital caliper, and several old reloading manuals. Trying to figure out exactly what's wrong with the press now. I'm not very experienced with reloading and never used a turret. I've got components to make about a thousand rounds of 9 and 223, i.suppise the turret could speed things up quite a bit...

Bought a Savage 111 in 30-06 from an on line auction and it came in but haven't picked it up yet. It's probably 20 years old but looked to be well taken care of. I need to get a scope for it and some range time.

My Timney trigger arrived today, is for my Ruger American Ranch gen 2 5.56 rifle.
