Why my neck knife spends most of its life in a drawer

There are situations where a neck knife makes perfect sense especially with certain clothing setups or deep concealment needs. But for everyday use, most other carry methods are simply easier to access and more practical. Mine still has a role, it is just not as often as I once thought it would. Anybody here actually carry a neck knife regularly?

I don't really conceal my knives. I carry folders with a pocket clip. When I want to carry a fixed blade, I carry a Mora on my belt.

Neck knives have their proponents. Cody Lundin often carries a neck knife. He is a minimalist and doesn't like big survival knives. I myself see a small neck knife as a viable backup blade but not as something I want to use on a daily basis...

That’s kind of where I land too, it is a great backup option just not something I want bouncing daily.

I carried an ESEE Izula neck knife for about six months. It works great under winter layers but gets annoying in summer unless you really don’t mind sweating on your Kydex
