I've realized most of my training happens in the daytime, but real situations could easily happen in the dark. I want to know y'all prepare for that. Do you train in low-light or night conditions? and what drills, techniques, or gear have helped you get better and stay safe when shooting in darker environments?

I always roll with a good weapon-mounted light and practice target ID in dim spots. Dry-fire with limited light, then live-fire slow and deliberate. Laser drills help too...night sights or tritium inserts make a huge difference...stay safe, go slow.

That's good advice, I've been thinking about adding a weapon light and tritium sights too

I was a cop from 1979 until 2007. I had the original "Night Sights" on my S&W Model 66. I see people with every possible gadget on pistols and especially AR's. Companies are making $millions selling junk I really don't need. Another thing I see people spending hoardes of money on is gun-cleaning equipment and supplies and such things as Copper-removers, super solvents etc. Many of my firearms, expecially the old S&W Model 66 has copper all over the bore. It has not affected it in one way. It is still extremely accurate and dependable.
