Casual Range Attire: What's a No-Go?

I've been hitting the range a bit more lately and started to notice what folks are wearing when they show up. It got me thinking about what not to wear when heading out for some drills or just shooting for fun.

I'm not talking about full-on tactical gear or anything, just regular clothes. For instance, I've seen some people roll up in full camo. Not sure why but it feels a bit much if you're just running a few mags through your rifle. I get that everyone has their style, but out at the range, camo just seems over the top to me. Especially when we're not in the woods.

I've been opting for plain jeans, a simple shirt, and solid boots. You know, something casual but still safe—definitely no sandals. I want to feel relaxed while also being sensible.

Is it just me, or do others think about this too? What are your thoughts on range attire? Anything else I should avoid wearing while I'm there? Always looking to learn!

Only range around here is at the gun shop indoor range. Other than right out my back door. No neighbors for over a mile in any direction and it is up hill any direction from here. I agree with your selection, I don't wear those roman sandals, or those baggy "half pants" and muscle shirts anytime any where. Just sensible clothing as we are not trying to impress anyone or draw attention ourselves. Save that for another day.
