Is anyone here a fan of wood stoves?

I'm considering putting one in to cut down on heating bills. Do any of you use them? Are they really worth it?

To me, only if you have some angle on cutting wood. Factor in the chance of getting hurt dropping trees, splitting, transporting. I found a used boiler in good shape from new home owner that didn't want it.

Consider that you can heat water heater and hot tub and savings go up as well. I also heat an out building.

Look at getting logs delivered by a tree service and hire splitting done all one day.

 I grew up around one and sometimes I actually miss it. It takes a bit more effort but the heat feels different in a really good way.
